It is almost time to leave! I really can’t believe it! I have been praying and thinking about this trip for almost a year, it feels surreal that it’s now here.
It has been such an amazing process and I have been able to see God’s hand at work in so many different ways. I feel like God has really been preparing my heart and using this experience to convict me, particularly in talking about my faith. I have also had to, one again, practice turning everything over to God and seeing how He provides.
One of the clearest ways I have seen his provision is through my church. My church has been such a blessing and encouragement! So many people have reached out to help support me spiritually, emotionally and financially. It has been so neat to see how God takes care of everything when we trust Him.
There is a lot of things that I am apprehensive about but I am continuing to pray for peace because I know there are so many wonderful things that He has in store. One verse that I have found comforting is Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’
I can’t wait to see what else He has planned!
