Our month in Indonesia has been so amazing and it’s been so neat to look back during our debrief on how the Lord has been working!
During the last few weeks of Indo our ministry shifted a lot. The health clinic that we were working with ended up closing (due to internal staff changes), so our main ministry shifted. We started pouring a lot more into the pregnancy centre. During this time we helped the buy and plant some gardens so that they are able to widen their diet. The ministry Feed a Child (which was facilitated by one of our hosts Ranata) really started taking off! She is now going to work with a bunch of new communities on different islands to demonstrate God’s love and teach about nutrition! Another really wonderful God thing is that the patients from the health centre ended up staying at the pregnancy centre, so we were able to keep feeding into those relationships!
Another really amazing relationship was mainly headed by another team with Pastor Minto. Pastor Minto and his family have two schools and a Baptist church in a village in Batam. They do so much to demonstrate God’s love and share His gospel! It was such an inspiration to see all of the work they were doing and all their joy (even through the persecution). They requested prayer not only for themselves and their family but for all of the people of Indo. Many Christian in Indo are very persecuted for their belief and its is extremely difficult to share about the Lord.
We are now finishing up our debrief days in Thailand. We are spending a couple days looking back on what the Lord has done and asking Him what he wants in the next month!
This month I am working with a Christian bookstore called Acts One! I’m super excited for the ministry, the people, and everything that He has in store!
